After eight months of extensive remodeling, the new Simon Yao Studio has opened its doors. The studio, which is nestled inside Brookside Country Club in northwest Columbus, sits on two acres of wooded property providing a wonderfully idyllic and scenic natural backdrop. The Simon Yao Studio began its facelift in April of 2002 and was completed upon year end. "Even after 50 years, this building still maintains a contemporary look.  Although I knew it needed a lot of work, I immediately envisioned endless possibilities," says Simon. With help from a talented and innovative crew of architects, landscapers, and numerous others, both the interior and the exterior of the property has undergone extensive renovations to mirror Simon's vision.  In renovating the Studio, the landscape was just as important as the structure; with this in mind, the surrounding landscape was designed to blend seamlessly with the Brookside Golf and Country Club; over 400 plants and trees were placed around the property.  As a testament to the success of the transformation, "our studio is now often mistaken by first-time Brookside visitors for the club house," smiles Simon
